Night Shadows & Lights

Location: West London.

It's winter. There's more darkness than light. I went out in search for a shadow of a tree that has a chance to stretch itself fully in the night, but in this crowded capital city a shadow like that doesn't seem to exist. Others were more lucky...

Michael Clark at Tate Modern (videos)

After watching the professional performances, it is important to remember that none of the volunteers had a professional dance training. We only had enthusiasm and a lot of fun!

Part 1: The Hall of Mirrors

Part 2: It's No Game

You can also view some videos on youtube of all parts here:

Michael Clark at Tate Modern (Photos)

I was in a Michael Clark project at Tate Modern in August. It was an eventful couple of weeks working with the company and my non-dancer friends, so I never managed to follow up with the previous entry. This update comes late but it serves as a wonderful nostalgic indulgence for me :)

This is a collection of the photo. There will be some videos to come...

Ai Wei Wei's Sunflower Seeds

I love the Tate Modern Unilever Series. This time it was 120 million sunflower seeds, each individually "made in China".
A chinese friend of mine said: "You see, you start using their products and one day they will take over the world". For now, sunflower seeds are being laid in Tate Modern and it was a rather wonderful experience to see them, touch them and play with them (though not to walk on or make sunflower seed angels out of, something I was so disappointed about).

Frieze Art Fair 2010

Frieze Art Fair takes place every October in Regent’s Park, London. It features over 170 of the most exciting contemporary art galleries in the world. The fair also includes specially commissioned artists’ projects, a prestigious talks programme and an artist-led education schedule. It is one of the biggest modern art events in London's art calendar.

Here are a few things that caught my eyes this year...

This are portraits of men who stayed unmarried in a village somewhere in Latin America. Somehow it reminded me of the miners in Chile...
